Legal Secretary – Litigation (Wellington)
Gibson Sheat has a vacancy for a full time legal secretary in our Wellington office. In this role you will be working alongside a team of busy litigators in our central city office.
We’re looking for someone who:
can provide top level support to our litigators, enabling our team's use of technology and systems to manipulate information and to manage evidence, electronic client files, court proceedings and practice logistics in an increasingly electronic environment
will be happy to be the first port of call for potential new clients, be able to run billing, provide IT support and provide other administration and secretarial support to the litigation team
will be the person to "make it happen" so our authors can focus on clients and achieving their aims
ideally has at least two years of experience working as a litigation secretary - but a broad understanding of litigation procedures and operations will be a key advantage
is tech savvy. That is, you will enjoy working with new technology and systems and developing IT innovations. You will be used to working in an electronic file environment
is the kind of person who is inquisitive, proactive, good at anticipating what needs to be done, and is willing to give anything a go
is unflappable, agile, and every day showcases a “nothing’s a problem” attitude
is a natural at building strong relationships, works well with a range of different working styles, and has a robust sense of humour
can be the heart of our busy Litigation team, and a key factor in our productivity.
