Viet Nam Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) representatives visit New Zealand

Between 27 and 30 July 2016, a delegation led by the MOST Chief Inspector Mr Tran Minh Dzung visited New Zealand to study our intellectual Property (IP) and anti-counterfeiting enforcement

The Centre for Vietnam Science and Technology Internationalisation Promotion (VISTIP) organised the visit and arranged meetings with Kiwi counterparts to study how IP rights and counterfeiting goods are enforced in New Zealand.

To see the full picture of IP enforcement and anti-counterfeiting in New Zealand, the delegation met with various parties involved in this arena. This included representatives from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE), Victoria University of Wellington and Gibson Sheat.

Following on from Nigel’s visit to Viet Nam in June, Gibson Sheat was thrilled to have the opportunity to further develop our business ties with Viet Nam by hosting the delegation.  To assist us, we combined with Kate Duckworth from Catalyst IP who provided specialist IP input. We look forward to continuing to grow our association with our Vietnamese colleagues.
