Gibson Sheat is a long established and well-respected law firm that provides a broad range of legal services for its business and personal clients. It has offices in Wellington, Lower Hutt, and Masterton.

Gibson Sheat has a vacancy for a lawyer within their Wellington Commercial team. In this role you will complete a wide variety of work, including commercial contracts, commercial property, franchising, small business work, commercial leasing, and trusts work. You will report to Claire Byrne (partner) but will have the opportunity to do work for all of the Wellington Commercial partners.

Ideally you will have gained at least five years’ experience as a commercial lawyer within a firm. You must enjoy helping people, as we are client focussed, in everything we do. You will have excellent verbal and written skills and be skilled at building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. You will be logical and practical, as our clients need tailored advice they can act on. You will have a strong business and marketing mind-set and be the kind of person who is always looking out for new opportunities. Most importantly, you will have a superb work ethic and attitude, be flexible, and be willing to give anything a go.
