The firm

Gibson Sheat is a long established and well respected law firm which provides a broad range of legal services for its business and personal clients. We have offices in Wellington, Lower Hutt and Masterton.

The role

We looking for a talented and ambitious litigator for our new vacancy in our Wellington litigation team. In this role you will do a variety of interesting commercial litigation work, including insolvency, product disputes, franchising/licensing, defamation, health and safety defence, regulatory defence and estates litigation. You will mentor, and delegate to, other authors in the team.

Skills and experience required

You will:

  • have at least 8+ years of experience as a litigator within a firm.
  • ideally have a practice to bring in one of the following areas - insurance, insolvency, RMA.
  • enjoy and have coaching and delegation experience.
  • be innovative, strategic and embrace technology and new ideas.
  • enjoy friendly banter and a lot of laughs, and want to be a part of our hard working, collegial, tight-knit team.
