Litigator - 3+ years PQE

The firm

Gibson Sheat is a long-established and well-respected law firm that provides a broad range of legal services for its business and personal clients.  It has offices in Wellington, Lower Hutt and Masterton.

The role

Reporting to partners in the Wellington office, you will be working with a skilled and experienced commercial litigation team, in the heart of Wellington CBD.

This is a full time role, although, for the right candidate there may be an opportunity for flexible working arrangements. 

Skills and experience required

You will have experience in at least some of the following areas:

  • Construction law
  • Civil litigation
  • Insolvency
We're also looking for someone who:
  • Has considerable court room experience, including defended hearing experience
  • Is comfortable in a client facing role and taking full ownership of your files
  • Has a natural ability for networking and developing relationships into business opportunities.
  • Is energetic, flexible, and a team player
