The well-being of our people, and anyone who visits our offices, is our priority.
Our communities are very important to us, and so we want to do everything that we reasonably can to keep them as safe as possible.
To do our part to help minimise COVID-19’s impact on our community, we are introducing a policy that requires anyone visiting or working in any Gibson Sheat office or attending any events we host on- or off-site, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
We respect your freedom of choice of whether to get vaccinated or not. However, we believe that our policy is the right thing to do so that we can protect our clients, our team, and our community.
This policy will apply to all our offices from Friday 10 December 2021.
In periods of lockdown, we have invited clients to meet with us virtually and we believe options like this are important for our communities to have access to legal services when they want it. As always, if you would like to meet or sign your documents online, please just let us know.
Thank you for helping us to make our community safer. We appreciate your support with implementing this policy and we will continue to review it to ensure that it remains in the best interests of our people, our clients, and our community.
If you have any questions at all, please contact your usual Gibson Sheat contact person.
Please do not come into our office if you are unwell, have cold or flu-like symptoms, or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test. We can arrange to meet virtually or postpone until you are feeling well again.
If you’re visiting a Gibson Sheat office, or attending an event that we’re hosting, you will be asked to sign in using the Covid Tracer App and scan your My Vaccine Pass (available from https://mycovidrecord.health.nz/). Information about your vaccination status will not be stored, so you will be asked to provide this each time.
If you would like to, we are happy to receive a copy of your My Vaccine Pass by email before arriving at the office. Please just email your Gibson Sheat contact and attach a PDF or screenshot of your pass.
As you enter our office, you’ll be asked to sanitise your hands and wear a mask in public areas. Our waiting areas and meeting rooms are set up to encourage social distancing of one metre between chairs.
We won’t greet you with a handshake as that breaks physical distancing rules.
Surfaces in our meeting rooms and reception areas are treated with Zoono Surface Sanitiser, which remains effective for 30 days against Covid-19 and other germs and microbes. Hand sanitiser is available in each meeting room and people are encouraged to use their own pen when signing documents.
If you have any questions, please raise them with your contact, or email us at email@example.com.
We believe that access to legal services is important for everyone.
Whether it be because your busy life is making it tough, you’re not based near to an office, or you have chosen to not be vaccinated, meeting virtually is a great way to work through your questions face-to-face. Simply talk to your Gibson Sheat contact and we’ll sort it out.
If you would like our people to come to you or enter your premises, we will work with you to meet your requirements and support your business needs, while ensuring the safety and privacy of everyone by complying with the New Zealand COVID-19 Protection Framework.
If you or a business partner requires proof of vaccination, we will ensure that all our people who visit you have a valid proof of vaccination, such as My Vaccine Pass.
If you do not require proof of vaccination, we will talk to our people about any concerns they may have and address these on a case-by-case basis.
We believe that vaccination is a personal choice and so we have people working in our offices and at home.
All staff working in Gibson Sheat offices are fully vaccinated.
We recommend anyone seeking further information about vaccinations, or who has any health concerns, to speak to their medical practitioner. General information can also be found online at https://covid19.govt.nz or at the Ministry of Health New Zealand website: https://www.health.govt.nz.
