"Before joining Gibson Sheat, I worked in the commercial team at Auld Brewer Mazengarb & McEwen, New Plymouth as a solicitor."

As a member of our Mortgage Recovery team, Voon deals with all aspects of mortgage enforcement on a day to day basis.

My approach to working with my clients

I try to provide advice to my clients in an easy to understand manner.

An instance when I've given a client a real competitive edge

There was an instance where a client had already made up his mind on the particular course of action he wanted to follow. However, after reviewing his file, we recommended an alternative course of action and ended up saving the client potential litigation costs.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given

Focus on what is important.

New challenges and the opportunity to provide tailor-made solutions to clients.

Ensuring clients are given practical advice and workable solutions.

What I enjoy outside of work

Pursuing outdoor activities that take me out of my comfort zone e.g. reaching the summit of Mount Taranaki and climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge.
