Career to date

"I graduated from Otago University in 2010 with an LLB and joined Gibson Sheat's litigation team in March 2010."

Katie is a member of our Lower Hutt litigation team. Currently Katie's work is mainly in the insolvency and debt recovery area.

My Recent Work

I've recently been involved in a range of litigation and dispute resolution, focused around insolvency and debt recovery.

My approach to working with my clients

I believe that being approachable and communicating with clients is important.  I like to keep clients well informed and up to date.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given

"Pain is temporary, but quitting lasts forever." Lance Armstrong.  Or - as my mother always says - "Treat others how you would like to be treated."

What stimulates me

Seeing my hard work pay off by getting a good result for a client. 

What I enjoy outside of work

I enjoy running and pilates.  I also love shopping, cooking and travel.

If I wasn't a lawyer I'd be...

An athlete or a journalist.  A travel writer also sounds pretty good.
