Career to Date

"Prior to joining Gibson Sheat in April 2007, I had worked as a Legal Executive in a Marlborough-based law firm for twenty years."

Sue is an experienced Legal Executive based in our Wellington office.  She has an extensive residential property and conveyancing practice.  Sue also has a great deal of experience with trusts and preparation of property related documents, as well as having considerable subdivisional expertise.

My approach to working with my clients

I treat my clients how I'd like to be treated.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given

My parents told me to, "Treat people like you'd like to be treated." This is something I try to live by.

The most challenging experience I've had at work

It is all challenging, that's why I love my job.

What stimulates me

Variety - my work is always varied even though the procedures might be the same. I enjoy doing new things. I love to travel and get to know different cultures. I also like dealing with people.

What I enjoy outside of work

I love spending time outdoors. I enjoy camping, tai chi, yoga and genealogy.

If I wasn't a Legal Executive I'd be...

A landscaper, because I have an interest in plants and I enjoy the outdoors.
