Career to date

"I qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer & Commissioner for Oaths in England.  In England it is recognised a Licensed Conveyancer is a specialist property lawyer - someone who is trained and qualified in all aspects of the law dealing with land and property.

I joined the team at Gibson Sheat's Lower Hutt office in 2007, following my move from the UK.  I took up a Legal Executive position in the specialist area of property."

One of many milestones in Paula's career was building an enviable client base from nothing, establishing a new conveyancing practice in an existing solicitor's practice. 

Paula's experience in property extends to specialisation in residential conveyancing, subdivisional development sales, mortgagee recovery and wills. She professionally undertakes assisting clients with drafting sale and purchase agreements, leases, rental reviews, easements and related documentation.

Every one of my clients receive the highest of client care where trust is paramount and all aspects of the client's needs are met, allowing them to feel informed at every stage.

Every client situation and circumstances are different. I endeavour to exceed expectations with hard work and attention to detail.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given

When I was young my father told me "follow your heart - achieve what you desire".

What stimulates me

Achieving and exceeding my clients' expectations. Buying a house is important to people. It's often their most valuable asset. It gives me pleasure to take care of everything and to succeed for my clients.

I enjoy building good relationships as well as setting and achieving goals.

What I enjoy outside of work

Spending time with family and socialising, enjoying fine wine and watching Formula One racing.

If I wasn't a legal executive I'd be...

An interior designer, because I love decorating. I love attention to detail.
