About Anita Fraser

Career to Date
"I joined Gibson Sheat in 1987. After doing the job of a Legal Executive for many years, and with the support of the firm, I attained the formal qualification in 2002."

As well as providing secretarial support to partner David Robinson in his commercial practice, Anita also assists him in a legal executive role.  Anita works in a wide range of areas including corporate and commercial law, property development and commercial leasing.

Professional Associations and Community Organisations
I am an affiliate member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives.

My approach to working with my clients
I make sure I'm always available to help in any way I can.

The most rewarding experience I've had at work
It's a great feeling to meet deadlines, especially tight ones. I support senior commercial partner, David Robinson, and I enjoy helping him to get great results for our clients.

The best piece of advice I've ever been given
Some wise colleagues once told me "Don't panic, sleep on it". It's good to ensure you don't react too quickly as things often seem very different the next day.

What stimulates me
The variety of work, as many different matters crop up. Clients have different issues and problems and I enjoy helping them, and pointing them in the right direction. I'm always kept busy which I find satisfying and rewarding.

What I enjoy outside of work
Daily exercise - I like to jog. I enjoy organising our corporate runs and encouraging people within the firm to participate. I also provide student support assistance, outside of the office, including providing help to studying Legal Executives.

If I wasn't a Legal Executive, I'd...
be doing something to help someone. Maybe I'd even be a dog show judge as, years ago, I enjoyed attaining New Zealand championship status for my celebrity Samoyed dog.
